Week 6

14/02/2014
Jamie finished editing the film. He exported it and we all watched the films back. I was impressed with the final film, but I was a little disappointed with Jamie's editing. He used a take of a shot that wasn't the final take (and so didn't look very good) and sometimes he held on shots for too long (in my opinion), when there were other shots he could have intercut them with.

13/02/2014
I set up the lights in the studio whilst Jenni prepared a table and the photos for the opening scene. We shot the scene using Charlie as a hand double for Alex. Jenni and I then logged the footage from the previous day, then Jamie produced an EDL. I then finished the DVD cover whilst Jamie edited. I feel like we are making good headway; Jamie thinks he may be able to export the film today.

12/02/2014
Alice and I collected the kit and went out to shoot at Jenni's house whilst Jamie edited and started to make a DVD cover. Jenni stayed home all day for simplicity reasons. We were just shooting Lauryn's scenes this time. Looking back at the shots, I felt as if they were all good.

11/02/2014
Jenni and I logged the footage whilst Jamie continued editing. I also gave Jamie some more music to use. Alice is absent.

Week 5

7/02/2014
My group and I collected the equipment, then travelled to Jenni's house to shoot. I used my own tripod. Shooting went smoothly and took an hour less than last time. Whilst doing the final shots outside, it started to rain, which stopped me doing some extra shots that I would have liked to have done. Looking back at the footage, I felt that some shots were better than others. It was a slight challenge having to make it look like it was night in some shots, because we were only only able to shoot Alex's scenes that day and some of his scenes we shot last week were at night.

6/02/2014
I sent Simon a booking form for the Friday shoot.

5/02/2014
Jamie finished the EDL using the logging sheet. Neither Jenni or Alice are here, so Jamie can't transfer or edit anything.

4/02/2014
The group and I watched the shots back and logged them. Jamie then started to create an EDL.
3/02/2014
I took the camera back to the Media deaprtment and informed Simon that Lauryn couldn't make it.

2/02/2014
Jenni informed me that Lauryn had a dance rehearsal and so wouldn't make it on monday.

Week 4

31/01/2014
After an editing session with John, we took the equipment and set off to Jenni's house. Jenni forgot the fake axe. Arriving there just before 2:00pm, I shot the first shots of Lauryn entering the kitchen. Alex was needed for a shot and the group then came in and watched the shots get set up. It was just after 6:00pm that we finished shooting. We decided that we would shoot the rest of the scenes next week.

30/01/2014
I sent a booking form to Simon and prepared a name tag prop.

29/01/2014
Jenni started to draw storyboards from the shot list whilst I updated the cast profiles and prepared a booking form. We're on our way to being able to shoot.

28/01/2014
I made a shot list and sent it to Jenni; The shooting day was decided on and Milly Joliffe (who was going to play Ruby) was replaced by Lauryn England.

Week 3

23/01/2014
I edited the script according to the marked script that Alice created.

22/01/2014
Alice, Jamie and I read through the script together. Alice marked it and made notes about changes to be made. I then started to edit the script according to the marked sheet.

Week 2

16/01/2014
I created the cast profiles, then considered the location for the film. Alice wrote the location down. Jamie added dates to the production schedule.

15/01/2014
Jenni is absent. Jamie and I are working on a production schedule. I got Jamie to listen to some possible music (that I had made) for the film and he thought it was usable. Alice turned up and listened to the music, she liked it as well.

14/01/2014
Jamie and I created a logline whilst Jenni and Alice wrote the treatment, working from the script. When finished, Jamie and I went to look at what they had done. I suggested a few things to write.

Week 1

10/01/2014

Alice and Jennifer finished editing the script. We presented our idea to the class and received feedback. We took note of this.
Now, at the end of the week, I feel as if my group is making more progress than the other groups and we are already thinking about props and actors.

9/01/2014
I wrote the script with Jamie and asked Jennifer and Alice to revise it. They made some changes, such as deleting some large chunks of unnecessary dialogue.

7/01/2014
Jennifer, Alice and I thought up some ideas. We thought up the story and characters and decided on our roles.
